Sunset

The sun hangs low in the sky, casting beautiful ochre light across the horizon. The sky becomes a rainbow, displaying brilliant reds, pinks, yellows and blues across the seashore. The odd low lying cloud shines a brilliant red.

Feet sink slowly into the wet sand, waves creeping up to meet them as a line of footprints are made. Unexpected surges of water hug the ankles, the feet darting away from the cold contrast of the saltwater onto the warmer sand.

The sky never stays the same colours, but is a different, glorious combination every moment; the sun creeps lower behind the shore until the sky becomes a dark purple, beautiful with the glittering, ever moving water beneath. The final glimmers of warm sunlight hang for a moment across the sky until surrendering to the cool moonlight.
